If you are reading this post, probably you are looking for a way to sell your products online. You are in the right place, because in this post I will clarify some common misconceptions about selling online, and this is going to help you with your project.

1- Selling online is not just one thing

This probably will surprise you, but selling online isn’t just one thing. You can sell your products and services online in many ways. For example:

  • You can open an online shop (and there are many ways to do it)
  • You can sell in social media
  • You can sell in WhatsApp
  • You can sell by a marketplace, like Amazon, eBay, AliExpress etc
  • You can sell in a classified adds website or app, like MilAnuncios, Wibbo etc.
  • And more…

Now, probably you realise what I mean. The thing here is that you don’t need to open a website if you don’t want to. What you need to do is to study the different sales channels that you can use for yours goods, and then implement them. Moreover, you can have more than one one sales channel online!

2- Is better if you specialise

Something that you need to considerate is that specialise shops like Trussardi clutch bags sells more online than a multi-product website. As you can see, that link only sells you one kind of thing: bags from the Italian brand Trussardi.

People on the Internet looks for particular kinds of products. If you offer those products at the correct price, you sell. On the other hand, imagine that you are looking for those Trussardi bags, but you enter that website and find lots of different unrelated products, like food for cats or computers. What would you do, as a customer?

Probably, if you are looking for bags, and don’t see bags, you move to another shop. That’s the reason why Jane’s Road is a good example of a good online shop.

3- Have an online shop is not enough, you need to move traffic

Many people fall in this mistake. You can have a very pretty online shop, but without traffic, it doesn’t sell. Why? Well, what I mean by “traffic” is just people to enter into the shop, potencial customers.

If you have a physical shop, but anyone enter by the door, then you don’t sell anything, right? With online shops happens the same. You need to have people who enters into your shop. On the Internet, there are 4 different ways to do it:

  • Organic. You manage to appear in firsts Google results when people looks for your products. You can do it by implementing SEO techniques.
  • Direct. People knows that you have an online shop, and goes directly to it. For example, if you also have a physical shop and announce there that you have a website, and people enters into the website.
  • Referral. This is when people enters to your shop from another website. This can be a website that talks about your shop, or even social media posts.
  • Paid traffic. You can hire advertisement campaigns in places like Google or Facebook. When people see your ads, they can click on it and enters into your shop.

4- The person who is easier to sell to, is the client who already bought you

Something that many online shop owners doesn’t take into consideration is that they can sell their products to the same people more than once. That’s the easier person to sell too, because is someone that already have the trust in you to buy from you.

You can create fidelity campaigns with vouchers for this people, or have a newsletter with new promotions etc. There are many ways to do it, depending on your business model, the kind of products that you sell.. etc.

5- All of this is easier than you think, just take action

All of this can be a bit overwhelming at the beginning, however is easier when you do it. Don’t fall in the “Analysis Paralysis”. You can start with a little project, and escalate it.

You can do things bad at the beginning, and commit mistakes. It doesn’t matter if you learn from it. That’s because if you take action, you can have more results that the person who never do it.

I hope that you found this content useful. If that’s the case, or you have any question don’t fear to leave a comment. In addition, it would be great if you can share this content in your social media, for help other people. See you soon!

The main towers that you can visit are located in four buildings. Each building have it own rules and schedules, as I summarise them here for you:

  • Tokyo Tower: This 333 meters high tower, inspired by the architecture of the Eiffel Tower, is the city’s most famous viewpoint. The observatory is at 250 meters, and has magnificent panoramic views. Also, at the base of the tower is the beautiful Zojoji temple, a very good place to visit too. This viewpoint opens from 9 am to 11 pm.
  • Tokyo Skytree: This telecommunications tower opened in 2012 and located in the Sumida neighbourhood, is the tallest structure in Japan with 634 meters. The first viewpoint (Dembo Platform) is 350 meters high, which you will reach in less than a minute by elevator. The second viewpoint (Tembe Gallery) is the tallest in Tokyo, with its 450 meters high and great views. The viewpoints open every day from 8am to 10pm.

A spectacular viewpoint of the crosswalk and which have recently opened, is located on the terrace of the Magnet building. A great place from which to take photos!

Harajuku is a good neighbourhood to see how different the Japanese culture can be from the western world.

In this part of the city it is common to see young people with a kawaii style of dresses. For example, around the Meiji Bridge, you can see people of this style on Sundays, also dressed up as manga or videogame characters.

Another place to see a different example of urban tribes in Japan is at the entrance of Yoyogi Park, where you will see every Sunday a group of rockabillies dancing Elvis Presley’s songs with their big toupees.

After a pleasant walk through Yoyogi Park, you can approach the Meiji Shrine, a Shinto shrine of 1920 that is surrounded by an immense forest, and is dedicated to the Emperor and Empress Meiji, which is another of the essential photogenic places to visit in Tokyo , that you can’t miss.

4- Odaiba Island

Odaiba is an artificial island located in Tokyo Bay and connected to the city by the long Rainbow Bridge.

This island is a good place to spend the afternoon enjoying its attractions, shopping centers and restaurants, where you can also photograph some interesting places, such as a replica of the Statue of Liberty, or take pictures from a ferris wheel of 115 meters.

One of the favorite places of professional photographers in this park is the Shinobazi pond, which is divided into three parts: the lotuses, the boats and the cormorants.

In the centre of the lake is the Benten-do temple, located on a small island. Other interesting places in the park are the Toshogu Shrine, the five-story pagoda, the Kiyomizu Kannon-do Temple and the Jomyoin, the statue of Saigo Takamori and the Great Buddha of Ueno. It has a good museum too.

Where you can stay in Tokyo

A good photo hunt in Japan requires a luxury hotel in Tokyo where you can take good pictures too. That place is Ryumeikan Ochanomizu Honten. There, you can enjoy the confort of a modern hotel installations, and a very good taste in decorations, very suitable for your pictures. I have selected some images for you as an example:

As you can see, the table is Japan style, so you can feel like in a Japanese house and take photos for your Instagram, for example. Lots of services awaits you in this hotel, from traditional breakfast to LCD TV. However, one of the best things is it’s location, because the hotel is at five-minute walk from Shin-Ochanomizu Station, so it’s very well connected with the city.

If you are reading this article probably you are looking for a way to travel between different places in Europe, or maybe it’s just because you are curious.

That isn’t important, because I will tell you anyways the many options that you have at your disposal, and the one that it’s the best for me. Do you want to find it? Keep reading.

The different options that you have at your disposal for travel in Europe

If you want to travel in Europe, specially between different countries, you have many options at your disposal. However, some of them are better than others. For example, you can:

  • Travel by car. It can be your own car or a rent one. However, the fuel that you are going to use is extremely high, and you need to drive for hours and hours and hours… not recommended.
  • Of course you can take a taxi, but just think for a moment how much can cost a taxi run from Paris to London. Don’t suffer a heart attack yet, there are other ways to do it.
  • Take a plane. Is a good option fo arrive fast, but just if you go from a point A to a point B. However, not all cities have airports, airplanes are too expensive, and at the end you need to go from the airport to anywhere else in another mean of transportation. I’ts not so practical.
  • By boat. This can be a nice way to visit coastal cities. However, it can take you several weeks to make a trip from England to Spain, for example. So this solution it’s limited and slow.
  • The bus is also a slow option. It can be cheap but it’s takes too long too. Of course is fastest than walking or ride a horse, but it’s not the best option.
  • The best one, for me, it’s the train. In a moment I explain you why.

Why the train is the best way to do it

If you travel by train in Europe you can go fast enough to arrive on time, and slow enough for enjoy the trip.

Trains also have a good quality-price relationship, so you can safe a lot of money. Many perpetual travellers and digital nomads prefer trains for this reason.

European trains are very confortable and reliable nowadays, and you can do a lot of things in them from read the newspaper or work in your computer to visit the cafeteria. And they have better meals than planes!

Trains also arrives to places where planes don’t. You can have train stations in many cities and towns in Europe, so is easier to go where you want to go with them.

My experience with European trains

In 2019 taking a train in Spain with Sandra. I love trains! And I use them as much as I can, as you can see 🙂

As you know, I live right now in the Canary Islands. Here there aren’t many trains, however when I went to Europe I could use some of them, and I have a very good memory of that part of my travels. In fact, I have taken many planes in my live (I have no much choice for get out from the island to the continent), but I don’t have so good memories like the ones that I have in trains. Today I want to tell you how I fell in love with trains.

I specially remember with love when I toke an old Talgo train from RENFE in 2009 from Bilbao to Barcelona. It was an old train, even for that time. However, it was the best train experience that I ever had, even considering that I expended almost all the day in that train.

Some passengers was talking about that the train was about to be retired, and that the machine was an old model. For me, it was fantastic because I could see through the window lots of villages, fields and landscapes that I didn’t saw before. Was like making “fast tourism” to lots of places that I couldn’t visit in another way. And I was very curious to know those places!

Of course, you can see the ground in a plane, but it’s not the same. Planes fly too far from places, but in a train, the world is “just there”. You almost can reach your hand and touch it! And this is an experience that you need to live, I can’t express you this with words, but it was amazing!

From that day, I love train trips, specially when travel through places where I wasn’t before, and I strongly recommend you to do try it. Try it and then tell me what do you think!

I hope that this article have been interesting for you. What do you think that is the best way to travel in Europe? Do you agree about trains? Let me know in the comments, even if you aren’t agree. You can also share this article in your social media for help other people. See you soon!

If you are considering for move to the city of Barcelona for a while, this post is for you. Here we are going to talk about the main aspects of how to do it, and if this choice is good for you or not.

Where is Barcelona Exactly?

Barcelona is a Spanish city in the region of Catalonia. Don’t mistake this one with the city of the same name that you can find in Argentina. In this post we are going to talk about the city in Spain.

As you can see in the map above, Barcelona is the eastern coast of Spain, facing the Mediterranean. This privileged position gives this city some advantages that we will discuss in a moment.

What you can find in Barcelona?

The city of Barcelona has one of the most important harbours in Spain. From here, Spain and the rest of Europe have been receiving a lot of different kinds of products for centuries.

This historical docks have created a huge business ecosystem in the city of Barcelona. If you are interested in live in Spain for business, be sure that here you can find all the clients and providers that you can need.

A big pretty city, full of oportunities

The development of the city of Barcelona have been consequence of this huge economical interest in the harbour.

The city is very prosper and full of luxuries. That’s the reason why you can find here some of the best architectonic pieces in the country. The city itself, with a perfect grid shape, is motive of study and admiration worldwide.

For example, is common to find great beautiful avenues for walking, and big shops. One of these, called “Las Ramblas” is very famous. However, you can find a lot of lovely places at every corner. It also has important theatres, and all kind of alternatives to expend your free time, by day and night. This is a city that you can enjoy every minute you pass here.

The proximity of the coast makes this city a good example of Mediterranean weather and culture, with nothing to envy to Italy or Greece. Barcelona is also well connected, with different kinds of transportation, like trains and subways inside the city, and outside. You have France very close, so Barcelona can be the gate to Europe for you. This is important for taxes, as I will explain later.

Finally, and just for move to the next important point. If you like sports, and specially soccer, you may know that Barcelona is the home of the Barça, one of the most famous teams in Europe. As you can see, almost any person can have good reasons to want to live en Barcelona. But… as a foreigner, is this good for you? Let’s analyse it.

Why Spain in general, and Barcelona in particular is a good place for foreigners?

If you are a frequent reader of this blog, you maybe have seen me complain about Spanish taxes in more than one time. That’s true, but just for the locals. In fact, Spain is a very good living choice for foreigners, because the country has many reasons to live here, apart from the weather and the party fame.

Spain is the number one choice for English and German immigration (and it’s not for the weather)

In Spain, you don’t became a tax resident if you don’t live in the country for 6 months in the year (In Cyprus, for example, you only need two months to be considered a tax resident). This is one of the main reasons why this people can expend in Spain at least half a year, but don’t pay taxes here.

Barcelona has a strategic position that you can use for enter and go out the country several times in the year, in order to justify that you haven’t be there for more than 6 month, even having a permanent residency in the city.

Double tax treaties

However, Spain have laws and treaties for avoid “double tax”, so if you are a foreign person who lives in Spain, but you declare your taxes outside the country, you can benefit of this advantage too. You can do it, even if you live for longer periods of time. In this article, I will explain you more about this later.

Well, that was about income taxes but, what about indirect ones? With a VAT of 21%, you can be concerned about this… fear nothing, you even don’t need to pay it in some cases.

How to avoid pay VAT in Spain as a foreigner

Well, you can’t avoid all the VAT in Spain, but as a traveller you can have a refund of a good part of it. You just need to present the DIVA form at the airport. You are entitled to a refund if you:

  • Have your habitual residence outside the European Union (or in the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla).
  • The goods acquired do not constitute commercial shipments and leave the EU within the three months following their purchase.
  • And, in addition, the total value of the goods purchased is higher than € 90.15 (including taxes) on each invoice.

If you make certain purchases in an intelligent way, you can avoid paying VAT in those purchases with this, depending of where are you from.

As a tax resident, how to avoid to pay taxes in Spain

Ok, imagine that you have become a tax payer in Spain. What can you do? Well, you can have certain tax strategies that the outsider people uses in Spain for pay less taxes. I will explain to you two different scenarios (but, of course, the best is to study your particular case, take this just as a reference).

The 50.000 euros exception

The easiest way is this one. The Spanish Tax Agency says that if you have 50.000 euros or less outside Spain, you don’t have any obligation to inform the agency in your tax form.

This, in a practical interpretation, says that: if certain of your sources of income comes from a foreign entity, and you receive it in a non Spanish bank account, you have no obligation of declare this in your income taxes.

As Spain have a escalated tax system, this can mean for you to pay a lower percentage of income taxes, or even nothing!

Some examples of this can be:

  • A remote worker who lives in Spain but works for a foreign company that pays him/she in a foreign bank account. Total year salary and savings is under 50.000€
  • A retired person who receive a retirement pension from his/she country of origin, but lives in Spain. Again, total year pension and savings is under 50.000€. This is one of the most common scenario regarding those English and German travellers that I mentioned before. Generally they are old, and they are retired.
The Beckham law

Another scenario that you can use in your favor is the commonly named “Beckham law”. This is because the famous soccer player David Beckham used this for years for avoid paying lots of taxes in Spain, legally.

Another football players, like Cristiano Ronaldo, uses this laws to his advantage too. However, you don’t need to be a football player for use this law in your favor.

The “Beckham Law” (Royal Decree 687/2005) is a Spanish Tax Decree passed in June 2005. The law is aimed at all foreign workers (particularly the wealthier ones) living in Spain.

How it worked for elite athletes from 2005 to 2015

Upon application and acceptance by authorities, such individuals become liable for Spanish taxes based on their Spanish income and assets but avoid such taxes on their non-Spanish income and assets.

For football players, that means to pay less for the salary they receive in Spain (as some part of it is exempt of taxes with this law) and don’t pay a penny about the international image right payments, for example.

Thus, in addition to paying few taxes for his income, soccer players like Cristiano Ronaldo could dispose of his money in Spain completely legally. He could also invest his money outside of Spain without paying taxes, since he did not pay interest taxes, dividends, rental income or profits on the stock market. You can also deduce that the sale of companies and properties outside of Spain is also tax free in this scenario.

And this is where the story of the Beckham Law for elite athletes ends, because it was modified in 2015 in response of several press scandals. However, it was modified, not eliminated, and the new version of the law is giving way to a different group that, contrary to what happens with football players, can continue to benefit from this special regime.

The 2015 modification of this law , and how it works now for you

Since January 1, 2015, the Royal Decree on which the Beckham Law is based has expelled athletes, so that they can no longer take advantage of this special regime for impatriated workers. After the 2015 reform, this regime is much more interesting for managers of international companies, and other kind of foreigners.

The most important modifications are the following:

  • Now, in addition to employees, company administrators can also benefit from the special regime. For this, they can’t be in possession of more than 25% of the shares of their company and, at the same time, your salary can’t come from the foreign subsidiary in Spain of the company.
  • The employer may be established abroad (the existence of a permanent establishment in Spain is not mandatory)
  • It’s not necessary that the physical work be carried out in Spanish territory
  • Foreign salaries must also be declared (and pay taxes) in Spain. Of course, even if the total amount exceeds € 600,000, it will be taxed at 24%
So, what would be the practical effects of all this for a foreign company administrator who was going to set up a subsidiary in Spain?

Under the old legislation, you should have been employed by a Spanish establishment and would have paid 24% of taxes on your salary of up to 600.000€, then 45%.

According to the new special regime for impatriated workers, it’s no longer necessary to be employed in Spain, but you can be sent to Spain and receive all your salary from abroad. Income from abroad is no longer tax-free, but instead, now you will never have to pay more than that 24%, even if you enter more than 600.000€ annually. The special regime is limited to six years.

Of course, foreign dividends, interest, profits on the stock exchange and other foreign income are still exempt from taxes. National dividends continue to be taxed at 19%, 21% and 23% (from 50.000€), as usual (since 2016) in Spain.

Another important thing here is the tax exemption for sales benefits. That is, if you have a company or a property valued at several million and sell it while you reside in Spain (and you are under this special regime), you will not pay taxes on your income from the sale.

Let’s talk about Spanish Social Security

The last government advantage that I want to introduce to you, before start talking about the best way to find a nice place to live in Barcelona, is the Spanish Social Security System. There is people who move to Spain just for this, because in Spain Social Security covers, between other things:

  • Free Spanish healthcare
  • Work-related sickness or injury
  • Maternity and paternity care, and child allowance
  • Invalidity benefit
  • Retirement and pension

Foreigners who are living and working in Spain must typically register and pay into Spanish social security in exchange for certain government benefits, including the free healthcare.

This isn’t estrange to see, in September 2015 there were 1.6 million foreigners registered with the Spanish Social Security system. Almost a million were from outside the EU and just over a quarter of a million were self-employed in Spain.

How to obtain free healthcare without pay for it

There are several scenarios where Spanish government gives you free healthcare, even if you are not paying to the Social Security. Let’s talk about those English and German retired persons who moved to Spain, for example.

For EU citizens

If you (or a close family member) have been paying social security contributions in another EU country for two full years before coming to Spain, you may be covered for healthcare. That makes Spain so good for old foreigner people.

Other scenarios
  • If you are registered as a worker in Spain, you are paying Social Security contributions, then you will be covered for state healthcare. As simple as that.
  • If you aren’t, but have been in Spain since before April 2012 and earn less than 100.000€, you can register for healthcare as a Spanish resident through your local INSS.
  • You can also access Spanish healthcare by paying a special monthly public health insurance scheme (called “Convenio Especial”). These are run individually by each of the autonomous regions. Monthly fees are 60€ for under 65s and 157€ for 65+.

How to live in Barcelona for long term? (the best way)

With all this information in your hand, you probably are wishing by now to move intermediately to Barcelona for a long period of time right? I will explain you the best way to do it.

Where should you live in Barcelona for a long period of time being a foreigner?

Well, remember that is better if you rent a place than to you buy it. This way you can claim that you don’t have a “permanent residency” in Spain, and avoid some taxes. In Spain, there are two kind of rental homes for foreigners:

  • The “tourist” ones, that are very expensive, as they are designed for expend very short periods of time. Not recommended.
  • The “long term ones”. If you sing a rent contract for a month or more, you can find better deals.

Of course, unless you are going to Barcelona just for a weekend (in that case, I don’t know what are you reading this article), you are interested in the long term ones.

You can find some specialised websites for apartments to rent in Barcelona for long term. Like the one in that link, called “beBarceloner”. I like this website a lot because is very clear and the properties are amazing.

The prices are also very interesting, because you rent this apartments for months, and not for days. This reflects in the amount of money that you pay, much less that in a tourist focus place, with a few days period in mind.

This trick is not well know by many people, so you should bookmark that website if you are considering to move to Barcelona for a while, now or in the future.

If you are planning a trip to Menorca, for business or pleasure, probably you are considering the possibility of visit the island by car. In this article I will explain you the legality of driving in Spain with a foreign driving license, and a trick to find the best car rentals. Are you interested? Keep reading!

How to drive a car in Spain being a foreigner

There are several cases that changes the way that Spain authorises you (or don’t) to drive a car in Spanish territory. It depends on the country of your driving license, the time that you have been in Spain and if you are a resident or not. I will explain each case:

If you have been in Spain for less than 6 months

Ok, this is the easiest one, and it should be the case of more tourist that visits Menorca. What the law says is that you can legally drive through Spain with an international permit or with national permits from other countries.

However, that country’s driving licences must have been issued in accordance with Annex 9 of the Geneva Convention or Annex 6 of the Vienna Convention. In special cases, you can also do it if your driving license differ from these two models only in the adoption or deletion of “nonessential rubrics”.

The holders of driving licenses of other countries may also circulate if they are written in Spanish, or accompanied by an official translation. It also can be the case of driving licenses from countries with international agreements in which Spain participates. This is the case of European citizens, for example.

If you have been in Spain for more than 6 months

When you plan to be more than 6 months in Spain, this get a bit more messy depending of the time you pass and the country of your driving license. Considerate that expending more than 6 months in a year in Spain makes you a resident, even if you wasn’t in the country the six months in a row.

Countries whose driving license must be changed for an Spanish one

Citizens of the following countries can exchange their driving license for a Spanish one (and must do it after those 6 months):

  • Andorra
  • Algeria
  • Argentina
  • Bolivia
  • Brazil
  • South Korea
  • Chile
  • Colombia
  • Ecuador
  • El Salvador
  • Philippines
  • Guatemala
  • Japan
  • Macedonia
  • Morocco
  • Nicaragua
  • Panama
  • Paraguay
  • Peru
  • Dominican Republic
  • Serbia
  • Switzerland
  • Tunisia
  • Turkey
  • Ukraine
  • Uruguay
  • Venezuela.

The citizens of the European Union and the European Economic Area

Citizens of the European Union and the European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtestein) can drive with the original license of their country.

However, they must take into account that, after 2 years of residence, they must renew the permit according to the deadlines and procedures established in Spain in cases in which the permit of their country of origin is indefinite or with a renewal term of more than 15 years.

The rest of people

The rest of foreign citizens must obtain their permission in Spain, like any Spanish, with exams and fees.

Ok, I can drive but... how to find a car to rent?

Find a car for rent in an island like Menorca can be a bit difficult if you don’t know the place. However, there are several options if you look for “rent a car Menorca” on the internet.

One of the most well know companies is Autos Xoroi S.L., who has an wide vehicle fleet of all kinds, and good prices. Clients that has rented their car have been very happy with the assistance from the company, and recommend them.

Something that surprised me is that they deliver the car for you personally in the airport or in the harvour, so you can have the car at your arrival from the first moment. It doesn’t matter if you arrive to Menorca by plane or by car, because your desired car is there waiting for you, and a person of the company is waiting there to assist you.

The agreements for rent a car

The typical terms of a rental agreement in Spain are similar to another place. However, depending on your country of origin, some details can surprise you.

For example, you will find the car filled with 1/4 of fuel, and the company expects that you return the car in the same state. It depends on you to fill the vehicle with gasoline or diesel on your own.

Other thing to considerate, and that is very normal in Spain, is that you pay an insurance fee with the car rent. Some companies have different insurance options, and you can choose one. You will be responsable of the damages that aren’t covered by the insurance, in case that they happens.

However, in Spain there aren’t limits to the number of miles that you drive the car, for example. That’s because you pay for the fuel.

I hope that you found this article interesting. If that the case, or you have any questions, let me know in the comments. In addition, it would be great if you can share this content in your social media, this way you can help more people in your situation. See you soon!

If you arrived to this article, probably is because you are thinking about vegan cosmetics as a business possibility. You are in the correct place, because we are going to look into the concept and find out if this is a good opportunity or not.

What are vegan cosmetics?

Veganism is an ethical alternative to the consumption of products from animal exploitation, this philosophy is applied to all areas of daily life: food, clothing, personal care, etc. Vegan cosmetics products are like regular cosmetics, but without animal suffering.

Something that is known worldwide is that regular cosmetics companies makes cruel experiments in animals for test their products. In addition, some cosmetics are made with dead animal ingredients. Vegan cosmetics says “you don’t need to kill or hurt animals for make this kind of products

Why people should prefer vegan cosmetics over the “normal” ones?

Well, the reasons are many. One of them is the European directive from 2013 that establishes the gradual elimination of animal trials in cosmetics. Many other countries have followed this tendency, and are making similar laws in their territories. In the future, it will be easier to make vegan cosmetics that regular ones.

On the other hand, there is an important growth in the interest of people in veganism in general. As a market that is growing, people demand more and more vegan types of products. A niche like cosmetics, so linked with animal cruelty, is a good target for introduce vegan alternatives.

You can see this vegan tendency in this graphic made by the BBC from Google search data that I share with you here:

This niche is also going to grow in the future

However, the BBC graphic that you have seen has relative values. You can see that in 2018 there was more interest in veganism than in 2008. However… how much money is that? I have a graphic for that too, that is made by the people of Statista:

In that graphic you can see a projection of the vegan cosmetics market, worldwide with quantities expressed in billions of dollars. Impressive, right? And this is just for vegan cosmetics!

One good example of business that is doing it today

With this numbers over the table, is very logical to find companies that are introducing new quality products into this growing market.

One of this companies is
Arolab
. They have a very beautiful website, with a very clean design, as you can expect from a cosmetics business. As a web developer, I found myself very impressed with how this company created their website.

Arolab especialices in organic premium eco-vegan cosmetics. As you can see in their website, the product are sold individually or in packs, so is suitable for retail market and wholesale. Check their website to find out more!

One more thing: Vegan cosmetics aren’t just a label, is a philosophy

One of the things that captures more my attention with Arolab website is the level of compromise that this people have with the vegan cause. As you can see, all the process are made eco-friendly:

For example, the package is recyclable, the shipping of the products is made in eco-transport… and even the website is in a server with zero impact… and, at the end of the day, this kind of details is what make the people choose this kind of companies.

What do you think? Did you know already the vegan cosmetics? Would you buy Arolab products? Why? Let me know in the comments.

I hope that you found this article useful. If you have any question or different opinion, just let me know in the comments. On the other hand, don’t forget to share this content in your social media, for help other people too. See you soon!

If you travel frequently, for example to the city of Valencia, in Spain, probably your first concern is how to go from the airport to your hotel. In addition, sometimes is even harder to return to the airport. The reason is that in some Spanish cities like Valencia or Madrid, the airport is far from the city, and you need some form of transportation.

Me in one of my travels between a sign that forbids horse carts, literally.

When I travelled to Madrid this January I suffered this problem: My flight was at first hour in the morning (was the cheapest one) and when I went happily going to the subway I fount it closed. 4 AM, in the middle of the street, carrying my luggage and with no clue of how to take my plane. What would you do?

Well, you don’t need to figure it out, because in this post, I’m going to tell you different ways to resolve this problem. I’m going to base it in the Valencia city example, but this applies to almost any city.

A friend can pick you up

If you are going to Valencia to meet with any family member or friend, maybe that person can pick you up. However, sometimes the flight hour that we have isn’t compatible with their schedule. Maybe they are at work or studying. On the other hand, maybe it’s too soon or too late for them to drive, and when you travel you don’t want to be a load for the people you love, right?

In addition, sometimes we travel to cities for business or just tourism and we don’t know anyone that can go and pick up us, so this option isn’t always available. What can we do then?

Public transport

In cities like Valencia there is the possibility to take public transport from the airport. In Valencia, for example, you can take the subway or the bus directly from the airport.

The problem with this is that these transports doesn’t go directly to your hotel, so you need to take more than one bus or train. In addition, in cities like Madrid subway, you need to buy a ticket card for multiple trips, even if you aren’t going to use them, and pay extra money when you enter or exit the airport. In Santa Cruz de Tenerife the airport bus has special prices, much higher than the normal ones… and you can find cases like this all over Spanish airports. Sometimes, the airport public transport has only few lines and makes you wait for half an hour or more.

In addition, just visualise for a moment an overcrowded public transport were you probably are going to stand up for travel because there won’t be chairs available, and you are going to be with continuous pushing and carrying you luggage everywhere. What a horrible way to arrive to a new place! And this overcrowded pushing scenario is the perfect environment for burglars, so the scene is even worst and worst if you keep thinking about it.

Take a taxi or a cab

Of course, if you doesn’t want to be in an overcrowded public transport, you can just look for an individual public transport. It can a be a taxi, or some of these private driver apps so popular these days. It also will take you directly to your destination, but there are several problems here too, and maybe you want to considerate them before jump in the first taxi you see.

First of all is the price. You never know how much is going to cost you the taxi run. In many cities taxis have an extra fee for enter or exit the airport. In addition to these, some taxi drivers goes by the long way to the destination in order to charge more. This is a typical Spanish practise, and it triggers when the drivers sees that the client is a foreigner who doesn’t know the city. So this solution, than can appear so good at first, finally becomes like playing the Russian roulette.

Rent a car

Ok, if you can’t call a friend and can’t trust completely the public transport options, why not drive yourself? This can a good option, and big airports like Valencia Airport have car rent spots. However you may think carefully this option too.

First of all, you are going to drive in a city that you don’t know, in a country with sings in a language that maybe you don’t speak as well as your own language. In addition, you don’t know the best route to your destination, so you can pass the time going around without finding your hotel, even using a GPS. If you also drive back to the airport, then you can even miss your flight.

More reasons? I have them, to rent a car is sometimes very expensive. You pay the car itself, but you may also pay the fuel of the car. In countries like Spain the fuel is very expensive too, because half of the final price is compound by taxes. One example is the diesel price, in this chart you can see the comparison between several countries. Spanish price is much higher than countries like USA, Canada or Japan.

Hire a transfer service (the best option, in my opinion)

Well, with all these cards over the table you probably are wondering if there is a reasonable way to get out of the airport in a city like Valencia. After considerate all the options, I believe that the best way is to hire a service like transfer Valencia.

What is a transfer service?

When you buy and airplane ticket or make an hotel reservation you know in front what the price is, right? Then, why not do the same with your transportation from the airport and to the airport?

With a transfer service, you have the confidence of a friend who pick you up, the privacy of a taxi and the flat price of an airline, all in the same service. This way, you already have a car waiting for you when you arrive and when you leave. You just enter the car and worry about nothing, because the price is already paid, and the driver gets you to your destination without any other problem.

You can just pick dates and hours in the same way as you do in your flight or in your hotel, with everything already planned, you just need to focus in enjoy your trip. With this service you can truly enjoy a city like Valencia from the first moment that you put your feet in the airport to the last time.

I hope that you loved this post as much as I enjoyed to write it. Did you find it helpful? Did you know all the alternatives? Do you have new ideas? Let me know in the comment, and don’t forget to share this post with your travel friends through social media. See you soon!

After a while, I have managed to get several of my blogs to generate enough money to be a source of income more. Do you want to learn to do the same? Well, keep reading!

A blog can be a powerful tool to boost what you already do, it can become your center of operations on the Internet, and connect with each other other strategies that you make to generate income. In this article I am going to teach you from scratch how to do it. You must bear in mind that to live on a blog you probably have to do a lot of previous work, so it is a medium-long term strategy.

But do not worry, because in this content I’m going to gather all the material I have on creating and profiting from blogs.

What profile is needed to be able to live on a blog

Basically you should like to write and you should want to share what you write with other people. It is generally recommended that you write about topics that you master and that teach other people or solve their problems. When your content is useful, it is sought after by people using the Internet, making it easier than other people want to read your blog and new people find you.

Therefore, to live on a blog you must create teaching content that helps people, instead of talking about the exciting life of your cat. However, entertainment content also has some boom on the Internet, but these moves more by word of mouth and it will cost more to make the blog grow in traffic.

Skills needed

There are certain technical skills you should have to embark on the adventure of having your own blog. Some are related to writing well, not having spelling mistakes … etc and others are technical skills such as installing a blog, setting it up … etc. They are just some things to keep in mind.

Both the ability to write and the technical skills can be obtained with practice and time, but if you do not want to wait there are some courses that you would probably like to do:

Professional profile

There are all kinds of blogs, and therefore all kinds of people behind. A blog allows you to let the world know your point of view, and on many occasions, that you know about a certain topic (personal brand development). There are blogs related to all professions, there are blogs of politicians, blogs of companies, and blogs of people who simply talk about what they like. On what topics do you know more? What are you passionate about? Probably with those two questions you already have the answer in hand to know what your blog can be. Can you imagine what it would be like to make money talking about it?

5 Things to keep in mind when setting up a blog

When you want to start living from a blog, it is normal that at first you do not know where to start. Therefore, before continuing to explain how to earn money with it, I will review with you 5 things you need to have.

1. What will your blog be about?

Perhaps the most important thing to ask yourself is this because, once you know it, it will be much easier to make the rest of the decisions. You have two possible options to make this decision easier:

  • Topics that you master, that you like, that you understand a lot about or where you want to position yourself in the market (enhancing your personal brand, for example)
  • Issues that generate trends, or that are very sought after on the Internet and that you see that you can manage. Perhaps one of the simplest places to find that information is Google Trends.

If you are thinking of making your blog for professional purposes, I recommend you see this short 3 minute video where I talk about the approach that a professional website should have.

2. What type of platform will you use

Over a decade creating websites for different projects I have tried all kinds of CMS: Joomla!, Drupal, PHP Nuke, SMF, PHPbb … but if you are reading this article what you need is WordPress, I give you three reasons I know that they will convince you:

  • It is FREE, whether you use it in online format or if you install it on your own server
  • It is easy to use for anyone with a minimum computer base at user level
  • There are tons of videos, tutorials and even courses! (here I have chosen 12 of those courses) with which to learn everything you need.

I could make you a comparison chart with pros and cons in 2000 words, but we will come to the same conclusion and I think your time is valuable. Anything you have in your head, you can do with WordPress. Honestly, it is very likely that it can also be done with Joomla !, but with double the time and double the knowledge, so the most efficient solution right now with the feet placed in 2019 is WordPress.

One more argument? If I have tried all the CMS had and have and this blog is made with WordPress … I think it’s for something, and as St. Augustine of Hippo would say “These are facts, not words” :).

3. Hosting and Domain

It is true that there are many websites where you register and with a few clicks you have a blog “working”, even WordPress has that option, Google has your proposal also with blogspot … but it is very likely that you are reading this article because you want to convert it into a source of income, right? That means that you’re going to take it seriously, so go forgetting about the blogs to register and make a few clicks. You need a hosting and a domain.

The Domain

The domain name will be the address to which people will go to get to your website. For example, when we use Google, we have to go to the domain “Google.com” and to enter Facebook, we go to “Facebook.com”. True?
The domain name is going to be the address that people will write to get to your website. You will have to buy one

The Hosting

What is a hosting? Well, basically “a computer that you rent to a company to install your blog on it and have your stuff stored there (your things related to the blog)”. Since 2008 I have been using HostGator, and it has allowed me to host all kinds of projects. Do you know why? Because everything is unlimited, hard disk space, bandwidth, domains that I can host … all not to mention the incredible support they have and that is 100% optimized for WordPress.

There are free hosting out there, I tried them, but either they leave the page offline in the middle of the month because “you reached the limit of traffic” or they sneak advertising where they want without you being able to do anything even if they deform all the page. Are there any that are not like that? Sure, but when you pay a company to provide a service you can demand quality, and when it’s free …? You decide, you can take advantage of my experience in this or do it by trial-error until you arrive at a solution that suits you.

If you opt for HostGator, you can try it for a penny of dollar the first month if you click on this banner that I leave below:

4. How will you organize the time

You can not create a blog to upload an article a month and pretend it works. Do you think that the companies that hire you to write (small spoiler, later I’ll tell you about that) would look at a blog that does not have new content frequently? Or for example, what makes advertising profitable in a blog that has nothing to read? Well if you want to be successful with your blog you should at least upload some content every week.

The best way is to have a specific time to write on the blog, for example a specific day of the week from one hour to another. Do you want a trick to always have something to write about? Make lists, always have something to point to (the phone is useful) because the ideas will come to you at any time of the day. If you want something more sophisticated, here are 5 free tools to organize your information.

5. How are you going to get traffic

This is something that you should also think about, because you should adapt your content to that strategy. For example, you can make your content more viral if your strategy is based on social networks. On the other hand, you may want to adapt to a format that allows you to generate traffic through meneitos or work on SEO so that visitors come through searches. It is a whole world.

How do you earn money in a blog?

Graphic ads

This is the best known, it’s about putting advertising banners on your blog for those who can pay you in different ways. Generally by CPM, CPC or CPA. What is this? Do not worry, I have this other article where I explain it to you.

There are two ways to do it. The first is to contact yourself with companies that may want to advertise and get paid for having a banner there, which is much more complicated for a small blog. Why? Because if the company were yours, you would put publicity on the site that could have the most visibility possible, right? A small blog is usually not as attractive to businesses because it has less traffic than, say, a newspaper. However, if your blog is oriented to a very specific niche, where there are few websites on the subject … it may be interesting to contact companies in the sector to see what can be done.

But we have the second option: You can work with advertising agencies that manage the advertising spaces of your blog. I, after trying both options for a while, do it this way. All the advertising spaces of contextual advertising of my blogs are carried by agencies. The best known advertising agency for websites is Google Adsense, although there are many alternatives. But do not worry, I’ve prepared a small list for you:

Google Adsense

You probably already know Google Adsense, the contextual advertising of Google. Little must be said of one of the best known systems to place advertising on a blog. The problem is that the criteria to accept pages are somewhat strict and you must accumulate about $ 100 (or € 70) to be able to collect it.

However, it is one of the main advertising systems that I use today in my blogs.

Chitika

Chitika is perhaps one of the best alternatives to Google Adsense. If for some reason you can not participate in the Google program, or you simply want to diversify your advertising revenue, it is your best option.

The best thing of all is that you can use Chitika in conjunction with AdSense without any problem. The verification of your sites is very fast and you pay by Paypal when you reach the minimum amount for payment, which is 10 USD.

Propeller Ads

Propeller Ads is an agency in the United Kingdom. Ads are monetized exclusively through CPM. They specialize in a different type of advertising than Google.

The people of Propeller work, for example, with advertising type “pop-under”. This makes it problematic to combine it with Google Adsense simultaneously, since Google bans its advertising program to websites that use this type of technology. However you also have available banners and other options that combine well and are not incompatible.

AdMaven

It is another ad platform. Works with pupups, popunders and banners, mainly. It allows you to configure the mode in which the ads are displayed. We can, for example, decide the number of times a user will see an ad both per page and in general

As payment options have Paypal, Payoneer and bank check with a minimum accumulated amount of 50 USD. They also have the option to pay by bank transfer.

RevenueHits

It is a direct competitor of Google Adsense, since its business model tries to be similar. However, their advertising is not so well paid. We will need to accumulate a minimum of 20 USD to be able to obtain the income.

Bidvertiser

Bidvertiseres is a pay-per-click ad network and is another good alternative for AdSense if you have not been approved or if you have been banned. It works with a bidding system by advertisers. Ads from the company that has offered the highest amount to advertise on your blog or specific web page will be displayed on your website.

At the beginning it will be normal for you not to earn too much money. It will take your time when those who bid the highest amounts are interested in you. They have text ads, banners, mobile ads and more. You must have a minimum income of 10 USD to be paid by Paypal or Payza and 50 USD to be paid by check.

Infolinks

Infolinks is based on a slightly different concept than the other ad networks. Text links will be displayed within your own content or there is also the possibility of using pop-ups. You can use Infolinks at the same time as AdSense without any problem.

They have four types of ads: InText, InTag, InFold and InIframe. All of them are designed not to use banners on the pages where they are placed. You need to have a minimum income of 50 USD to be able to receive payments through Paypal or 100 USD to receive payments by bank transfer.

VigLink

VigLink is another option that also differs a lot from the rest of those listed here. Transform the normal links of your content into affiliate links. If someone makes a purchase through your link, you will earn a commission for it. For example, if you have a post in which you talk about a new iPhone, VigLink will add new links or automatically transform the existing links into affiliate links.

Adversal

It is one of the best alternative to AdSense in relation to the ads that are shown. They have a great CTR and they work with different languages. The only problem is that to be able to register is that they ask you for a minimum of 50,000 page views daily, so it only works for very large websites.

They pay when they reach a minimum income of 20 USD. The payment options are PayPal, Check and bank transfer.

TribalAdNetwork

It is a network that boasts having more than 10,000 publishers in which they have almost a thousand active campaigns (check accounts, supply / demand). But through your ad network will also show ads from other networks, showing ads with the best CPC for your website.

BuySellAds

BuySellAds is a site that serves to connect advertisers with publishers, who are the people who advertise. While the other networks are based on CPC (pay per click) or CPM (pay per thousand impressions), in BuySellAds you are paid directly for placing the ads. They are intermediary agents between advertisers and publishers. They keep 25% of each transaction as a commission. It is not easy to be approved in BuySellAds. You have to have a considerable amount of traffic on your website.

Skimlinks

It is a concept similar to that of Viglinks. It is a center for affiliate programs. The links of your website to products will be transformed into affiliate links. In case you have a blog where you write about different products, you can find it very interesting.

PopAds

It is a network specialized in pop-unders. They pay quite decently and the traffic can come from any location. They will pay you daily provided you have accumulated a minimum of 5 USD. They also have pop-ups and other monetization methods. It is very easy to be approved and in a few minutes we can see the ads on our website. But Google does not like pop-unders, and bans its advertising program to websites that use this type of technology.

Adsterra

Adsterea is a network of publishers and advertisers offering high values per thousand impressions worldwide. They have banners, pop-ups, pop-unders, sliders and more. The publishers receive payments by bank transfer, PayPal, WebMoney, BitCoin, Payoneer, Paxum and Payza. If your website has a significant amount of traffic, you can try Adsterra to increase your profits.

Revenue hits

It is a very interesting network that has been running for quite some time now. Many people have used this service with very good results. They pay you based on the results (CPA), so it is a good option if you have many websites focused on specific topics. Your platform will learn and adapt automatically to your results. They also have different monetization channels. You can create pop-ups, pop-unders, banners, sliders and much more. You will be paid every thirty days by Paypal or Payoneer bank transfer.

YLLIZ Media

YLLYX is a network with good prices per thousand impressions (CPM), but additionally they also have other good options to monetize your web like full page ads, pop-unders, pop-ads, sliders and more to get a good CTR . The approval process is also very fast.

Kontera

Kontera follows the same scheme as Infolinks. The links will appear on the links when you pass the mouse over them. They also have links based on videos and images. All ads are based on payments per click.

CPMStar

It is an ad network where you are paid based on your performance. It is a network destined exclusively for the world of video games in which they have several ad units, banners, pop-ups, pop-unders and much more. They ask you for a minimum of 10,000 daily visitors, so in case you do not have them, you should look for another alternative.

Qadabra

It is an ad platform that offers different ads based on the performance they obtain. You can register in a very short time. Different types of advertising are offered and you will not need to have too much content on your website to approve it.

The ads include banners and text blocks and sliders. They pay you when you have accumulated just 1 USD!

Exponsor

One of the things that I like most about Exponsor when it comes to recommending it is the versatility that it has, unlike other platforms that focus on a single model of monetization, it gives you a great variety of options to make money, not only with your blog but with your social networks.

It is a fairly large company and has contact with all types of advertisers. It is true that it is a bit more complicated when it comes to integrating advertising in a blog, and they are very selective, but it can be equally lucrative.

Yahoo! | Bing

It’s the attempt of the Yahoo! and Bing (Microsoft) for making the competition to Google Adsense with its own contextual advertising system. For this they work through the agency Media.net.

Its program is based on carefully choosing the websites that are presented as candidates, so they offer their advertisers quality sites to which they associate their advertising.

Truvid

Truvid is a kind of YouTube, which pays you a commission for putting videos on your website. In this way, the revenue obtained with advertising is shared between the content creator and the website that publishes it. It’s pretty good, and not only can you paste them into the articles but make a widget that plays videos on the side.

Sponsored content

Can you imagine being paid to write on your blog? Certain companies are willing to pay you to talk about them on your blog. You put the price, and you just have to get in touch with them.

And you will ask yourself: How do I find those companies? Very easy, there are certain companies that are dedicated to connecting other companies that want to write about them with authors of blogs, which makes this process much easier.

I work with some of them, and it has supposed me enough income, even having a small blog. Do you want me to recommend some? No problem! There are certain agencies that are dedicated to connecting bloggers with companies that want to talk about them or their products or services in blogs. Those companies are willing to pay for that content. This type of content is called “sponsored content.” Then I talk about the main agencies with which you can work this type of content:

Publisuites

Publisuites is without a doubt my favorite, and one of the ones that has generated the most income through sponsored content. I could talk to you a lot about this company, because I have had a lot of contact with them, they have very good attention, a lot of advertisers. They pay very well and punctually, and you charge from € 5, which is very reasonable.

With Publisuites you can earn money with your blog or simply with your profile on a social network such as Twitter or Facebook. In this article I explain it more thoroughly.

Earn money with your social media profiles in Publisuites

There are many reliable pages where you get paid for publishing certain content on your social networks. In the case of Publisuites, you are paid to post on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

The amount paid to you will depend on the number of followers you have on these social networks, since the publication will have more reach and, therefore, will be worth more.

Earn money by posting on your blog

In my opinion this is one of the main ways to earn money if you have a blog is to use one or more platforms that pay you to write from time to time about certain topics, such as Publisuites or Exponsor. By giving your point of view about a product or service, you help a company that has hired you and with content that serves your readers, and you also receive financial compensation for it. It is a perfect circle in which everyone wins.

Those looking to position their sites are using Publisuites to find blogs from the same niche and buy “sponsored reviews”. The way to make money publishing an article in your blog through Publisuites is very easy. First you must register your blog, verify it through a meta tag or by Analytics and once you send it you will receive approval, if your blog complies with the regulations.

The Publisuites team will make an offer to win for a sponsored article, and you decide whether to accept the offer or not. I recommend selecting the themes or categories that best suit your site so that you are more likely to get more clients.

More details on Publisuites payments.

The company pays for Paypal with a minimum of € 5, or € 50 by bank transfer if you live in Spain. This is very small amount! So you will have many fast payments with this platform, unlike others that make you wait a lot longer to receive your money.

You need to have a verified paypal account to receive the payment. If you have at least € 5 earned, you can request your payment which they send each Monday. Therefore, if you request it the same Monday, you will not receive it until next Monday.

So I invite you to give this platform a chance by registering in this link. If you have any experience with Publisuites leave us a comment telling us.

Coobis

Coobis is another marketing company whose mission is to connect advertisers with content creators.

Here you register your different blogs and it is the advertisers who contact you to make a proposal. It is also a very interesting website and the average prices are higher than in Publisuites, since there the minimum per post is € 5 and here it is € 20, but it moves less (maybe for this reason).

Space Content

Space Content is a consolidated German company that has only recently entered the Spanish-speaking market. The good thing about this company is that, although they manage the advertising space that you give them, you put the price that an advertiser must pay to appear there.

In this way it is as if you manage the advertising directly, but without having to search for the companies that are advertised and without having to manually place the ads. You also have the option to let random ads appear from a certain price in your ad space. The truth is pretty good.

Some time ago I wrote this article talking more in depth about the possibilities of this platform to make you earn money with your blog and your social networks. If you’re curious, you can keep an eye on it. The minimum to charge is € 50, which is quite reasonable if you combine it with other strategies that the platform allows.

Contentmart

content writing, copywriters, need content

Contentmart is a company with which I have been very surprised by the large amount of work that is available, that if, in English.

Their dynamic is this: They have a list of articles that someone wants to be written, so you make your offer of how much money you would do it for. If the client assigns you the project, you write it and charge it once it has been validated. Very easy.

The only “catch” is that the content is generally thought to be written in English, but if you have a blog where the content is in this language or you have no problem writing in the language of Shakespeare …

Other paid content

In addition, your blog can become a platform that allows you to spread other types of content that generate revenue, such as YouTube videos or affiliate marketing links. It is very important to interconnect your online strategies to maximize the result. There are blogs that are financed exclusively with affiliation.

Resources that may interest you if you have a blog

In addition, I have written a lot of content about blogs that can be useful if you have a blog, I will be adding more. It is possible that these articles have merged with others when you go to read them in the future, since I have times when I am updating content. I’ll leave you the ones I have so far below:

Have you thought about how much companies spend on getting new customers? In this article I tell you which are the two types of customer easier to get.

What is most important when it comes to attracting customers?

There is an incorrect paradigm in many companies: Companies do not survive thanks to having more and more customers, they do so by having more and more sales. The problem is that, for many companies, having more sales means getting more customers to sell to.

Have you stopped to think about how expensive it is to attract new customers? You must make a significant investment in marketing, either by placing ads, paying sellers … etc to reach new people and make them trust you enough to buy your products or services. However, would not it be incredible that this investment would serve you to generate income infinitely having done the job well done only once?

Therefore, the two types of clients that are easiest to obtain are:

  • The customer who has already bought you, making repetitive customer. This is not only important, but much cheaper than working with the cold market, since the investment to capture it is done.
  • Referrals, that is, people that your clients know and with whom they have no problem recommending you. Then you approach them with the confidence that these people have in the contact that you are recommending, and they are much easier to convert.

You have then to think about how you can take advantage of this knowledge in your business. Do your products and services allow your customers to buy more than once? How could you do to make it so?

Example

I give you an example. One of my clients, who I was advising in 2018, is dedicated to the sale of industrial machinery. His business model was based on selling those machines. These were machines that, once purchased, do not need to be bought again in many years, so he spent a lot of money per day on advertising to attract new customers. If that month he did not capture new clients, he did not sell.

However, it turned out that their suppliers who sold machinery also had spare parts and accessories for those machines, such as the oil that must be changed every so often. Once my client added this to his own catalog, everything changed, because he could repeatedly sell to the customers he had captured. This also allowed him to make contact with his clients and discover that many of them were companies that installed industrial machinery, so they began to buy machinery with a certain frequency, and spare parts, to provide services to their own customers. Can you imagine what something like this could do in your business?

Additional Resources

To give you a hand with the subject of capturing referrals (the 2nd easiest client to get) I have chosen some interesting books, which you can see below. I hope they serve you!

They say that the evil of some is the gain of others. And in any situation if you want to get ahead, YOU CAN! Today I bring you more than 15 profitable businesses, which remain so despite being in an economic crisis.

Alcohol

It seems that no matter how bad everything goes, alcohol is always consumed, and it seems that the worse the thing is, the more you drink “to forget”. The thing is that you can find numerous studies that claim that alcohol consumption has remained stable (if not increasing) in recent decades. Observing these graphs, there is no change due to the economic recession of the beginning of the century. It seems to me like a fairly stable market. In fact, alcohol is so stable as a market that even the Dry Law of the United States could not end it.

However, there are nuances to be taken into account. The most expensive concoctions fall in sales in times of crisis due to the loss of purchasing power, but those of medium-low price are always maintained. This opens up very interesting business opportunities for producers and distributors of alcohol, since nowadays anyone can make their own beer with little investment. However, the main barrier to this lucrative market is the licenses and permits that must be obtained in most governments to be able to move in this sector.

Cosmetics

To the bad weather good face, and it seems that cosmetics is one of those markets that have difficulty perceiving economic crises. Surprisingly, since it seemed more like a superfluous luxury item than a necessity. However, studies like the one at the University of Córdoba show very interesting data.

The main causes are that a good percentage of the cosmetics market is moving today through modern marketing techniques such as catalog sales, electronic commerce or direct sales. It is a market that is continuously advancing, innovating and pushing to improve. This also makes it a very hostile market in which to enter on your own … but a very interesting option if you are going to market an already solid brand, for example.

Original movie theaters, monologues … etc.

I do not talk about the typical modern cinema in a mall (which, if you notice, always has people) but something easier to do on a smaller scale. Nowadays the “cheap leisure plan” like “dinner with a show” has a lot of market. In addition, you can take advantage of the place for all kinds of activities that bring customers.

This has many ramifications, since in countries like Spain there are three bars in each corner. This means that for one of these bars to attract customers they must invent very original things (often those next door copy the innovation instantly).

Something that is booming is bringing people who are beginning in the world of entertainment to act, either by doing monologues, singing … or making short film screenings. The thing is that by going to see it people enter that bar that would not have gone by other circumstances, and once inside they get three things:

  1. That they end up consuming, be it a drink, a dinner … etc
  2. That they know the site, and they like to go more times
  3. Advertising “mouth to mouth” (the more people know you, the more people talk about you)

Health and well-being care

The Wellness-Health trend could give us an entire article. We are facing an increasingly aging society, and with increasing stress What do people today seek more than anything else? Feel good.

If you can provide that, either through a private health center, natural products, massage centers, gyms, coaching, courses … whatever. You have guaranteed business. this point could have probably become several.

Specialty food stores

It is a mistake to try to compete with the big supermarkets trying to have “everything”, however, precisely in that sea of homogeneity, a specialized offer makes the difference. This is why it is very complicated to move forward a multi-store in an environment of large shopping centers.

Imagine, however, that you specialize in coffee, and sell all kinds of coffee, as they do in a gourmet store for sommeliers of this drink (either physical or online). Do you know how many billions of dollars the coffee moves in the world? I recommend you take a look at the website of the International Coffee Organization, where you will find updated statistics on the state of this market, whose products are consumed in all countries of the world. We talk about millions and millions of tons of coffee per year. It is a market that also innovates a lot, such as the appearance of capsule coffee machines.

But not only coffee is a good market. We can talk about vegetarian food, pet products … any niche strategy that is aimed at a well selected buyer persona. If your specialized products are sold on the Internet, you would have access to customers around the world while you reduce the costs of a physical location … so this would allow you to have great benefits.

Cakes

When there was a recession in the United States, do you know what was imposed on the market as a benchmark that continues to this day? The cupcakes! You can search on the Internet, the origin of these well-known and expensive sweets in the form of “disguised magdalena” are precisely from that era.

It seems that when the thing gets bitter consumers want to sweeten life with a good sweet. As Maria Antonietta of Austria said, “if they do not have bread, let them eat cakes”. It seems incredible that a historical phrase as terrible as this can be so true.

And if you analyze it with perspective, sweets, biscuits, rosquetes, cookies … and other forms of pastry are in many cases easy to acquire luxuries that also fill the stomach. Another good candidate to start in economic crisis.

Pawn shops / Second Hand

They grow like mushrooms, and it is true that they are much in demand today, both by people who want to sell things to “get a money” and those who want to look for “bargains” or “retro things”. Pawn or second-hand stores are the perfect link between those who need quick money selling their things and those who want to buy those things at low cost. With an interesting commission in between.

What is the problem? You have to have a lot of knowledge about what is demanded today, because if you set up a business like that and buy too many things that have no commercial outlet or purchases over the price that buyers are willing to pay … bankruptcy. And this business is very susceptible to scams, or receiving stolen products that you must return to the police.

An example that makes good use of this business without risking capital is MilAnuncios, and in general any second-hand sales portal, such as eBay.

This allows you to see it in two ways:

  • Or you take advantage of one of these portals to buy and sell things, earning a profit
  • Or directly you set up a portal like that, knowing that you will have demand.

The good thing about these portals is that they do not risk capital in buying the merchandise. Generally your profit is based either on a percentage on sales (as in the case of eBay) or for services that allow the user to highlight your ad, as is the case of MilAnuncios.

Funeral Services

Yes, people also die in economic crises. Maybe it’s not the most cheerful business … but it’s a profitable business. The problem is that, as with alcohol, it can be very regulated by many countries.

However, the funeral services are not only the funeral home. Around these revolve many companies, from those who transport the deceased to his place of eternal rest to manufacturers of coffins and tombstones, passing through religious services, insurance companies of funerals, catering companies (for the wake), services of tanatopraxia. .. You start to look, and even death is a very interesting business.

Counseling and agencies

In difficult situations people try to minimize the risks. This is why good advice plays a very important role. Far from being a luxury or a comfort, professional advice to avoid problems is a highly valued asset, from the lawyer to the accountant.

In addition, the business of agencies, for example fiscal agencies that help you pay less taxes, are also in high demand.

Repair and maintenance companies.

People, in recession, consume less and try to extend the life of the devices they already have. This is where many people and businesses, rather than toss and buy new, are in need of hiring a repair.

This is a very broad concept, ranging from housing renovations to car repair, through things like repairing refrigerators or installing solar panels.

Here are two important entry barriers. One is knowledge: need to know to perform these repairs, or have staff who know (higher cost). In addition, in sectors such as air conditioning you can leave € 3000 in tools before being prepared to meet your first customer.

Network marketing

These are profitable win-win businesses that can also make more people improve their economic situation. However, you have to know how to choose what company, what product and what moment. It also requires certain social skills and constant long-term development. It is perhaps the least recommended sector of the list.

However, if it is true that in times of crisis this type of business models have a tremendous boom, since the scarcity of employment opportunities and that people are so scared of a more traditional entrepreneurship, many people are tempted to develop network business, direct sales and other derivatives … so it had to be included in the list.

Franchises

Franchises may be a bit more expensive to build, but they already have a defined work system. Actually any franchise does not work, you have to know how to choose, study the situation, and find a compatible business with you, with your pocket and with the area where you want to place it.

The advantage of the franchise, however, is that it is a business that is already invented. Simply “copy and paste” the system and in most cases it works. However, the investment is very high and they do not always work, so the risk you reduce on the one hand is for another. However, the one that “sells” the franchise has a pretty round business between hands.

Real Estate

For the same thing that happened with second-hand stores, real estate agencies are also very profitable businesses. There are many people who need cash in times of crisis and for them they are forced to sell their house. Maybe it’s a legacy property they can not keep. In addition, many people who are forced to sell their home have to look for a flat for rent.

Therefore, being a company that manages the sale and rental of real estate is profitable. However, there are certain challenges. For years, real estate agencies were needed because they had the unique means and tools to sell homes more quickly. Nowadays, with portals such as Idealista or Fotocasa, the owner is able to do the same or more than real estate agency. This creates real challenges for the traditional real estate agencies in front of the “self-service” web portal.

Advertising and marketing

If there is an economic crisis people buy less, if people buy less companies must make greater efforts to attract new customers. If you are a company that provides the tools to make this possible … you have a profitable business.

This goes from advertising agencies to companies that manage street vendors (such as energy, telephony, NGOs …) through social network management services, SEO, SEM … etc.

Insurance

In times of uncertainty, people are afraid. If you are afraid you want to feel more secure. What would happen if they die suddenly? What would happen if their home collapsed? What would happen if they suffer an accident and can not work? For this and much more, insurance companies have solutions. But you do not have to open an insurer to take advantage of this.

If you also take into account the previous point, you will begin to see the advantages of becoming an insurance brokerage, or the exclusive agent of a major insurer. To this add that in countries like Spain there are laws that force people to hire certain insurance, such as insurance for vehicles or dangerous dogs. Customer required by law to buy your services! Can you ask for more?

Technology to reduce costs

And in this section we can include all those advances that manage to do the same with less cost. We can talk about supermarkets without employees, or applications like Uber and Cabify that have revolutionized private transport, or AirBNB that has done it with the world of tourist rentals. We can also talk about Netflix or HBO, which are revolutionizing the way people consume television … it is perhaps the widest section of all, and in your imagination is the limit.

What did you think of this article? Do you know any other profitable business? Do you want to expand the information on any of these business models? Leave it to me in the comments. And if you think it can help someone, share it on your social networks!

Opportunities are around us all the time. How come we do not see them? If you ever regretted missing an opportunity … keep reading this article.

It’s amazing how many people miss an opportunity. It can be a job opportunity, a business opportunity, an opportunity to get ahead … or improve their situation in any aspect of their life. Opportunities are everywhere, not only economically or professionally, we also find them in sentimental relationships, friendship and many other fields.

People look for an opportunity but …

Many people swear to be looking for opportunities. Some even ask you for help because they are doing everything possible to get an opportunity and life treats them so badly … But when you scratch the surface, it is often something else you find. As the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche would say “sometimes you have to hit it with a hammer to see if it is really hollow” (“The Twilight of the Idols”, a very interesting treatise on philosophy, I leave it at the end of this article within the recommended reading so you can take a look).

My experience with some of these people is not very positive. (As you know I was many years in the world of social entities, and I have also worked with different business groups to hire staff and present business ideas … so I have extensive experience on which to base these claims).

I can tell you that there are many people to whom you offer them an opportunity and, it is not that they reject it … it is that they do not even want to know what the thing is about. When you decide to call one of these people to say “Hey, we’re doing this, I remembered you, come and take a look at it because it can help you.” Do you know what they do? THEY DO NOT COME. Are you one of those people? Keep reading.

And why do not they come out of that situation, instead of losing opportunities?

Or more briefly, why do not they come? Well, generally, when you can talk to them, they have a pilgrim excuse that they do not believe themselves at all (it was far, it was raining …). There are also people who, when you offer them an opportunity, do not answer the phone again. The worst, perhaps, is that many think they are doing you a favor and that’s why they do not go.

Others imagine things that have nothing to do with reality, such as that you’re going to “sell them something” or “cheat them,” or that commercial work you offer them “they will not know how to do it” or that person who you are going to present “is going to hate them” And all this without even trying! With these limiting beliefs they assume that they will not be interested, even without first knowing what it is about! The worst thing is that many of these people are in the situation where they are because of this very thing.

But the truth is that the opportunities are out there, for the whole world. And it’s sad to see how those people “do not go” when you go altruistically to knock on the door to offer them something that interests them, because you remembered them. But those same people are always crying “Oh, if I had a chance to do what this one did or what that other did” and when they call them from an interview “I better not go, because it’s too far away”.

How not to miss a good opportunity

That is why it is very important, so as not to miss any opportunity, to KNOW EVERYTHING. They say that information is power, and Albert Einstein said that “if you want different results you should try different things”. I, for example, when they propose to present me a business, an idea, a project … something, I try to take time to go and see it. Going to see what it is about does not mean that I am involved with what you are presenting to me. In fact, 80% (or more) of the businesses that propose me, I end up rejecting them. But do you know what the difference is? That I know with reason why I reject them. Does anyone who has not seen what it is know?

And, of course, if I go I can ask many questions, think about it, see the feasibility, evaluate whether I’m interested or not, measure the time it could take me if I get involved (to know if it compensates me or I have that availability), understand how it works to know if it can be done or not … But the important thing here is that I acquire all the necessary information to make a decision. How can someone make decisions about something that may interest him without even knowing what it is? Seen like that… Doesn’t it sound obvious?

And when the opportunity has already passed … “to rabbit fled, sticks in the burrow”

Why am I telling you this? Because I do not want you to be one of those people who lose very important opportunities in their life simply because they “believed”, “imagined” or “thought that …” they were not going to be interested.

And then it happens that you meet that person several months later and he says “Oh, I’m looking for an opportunity for this” and you say “How? But I called you two months ago to offer you such a thing”. Or they say “Oh, and what are you doing? Why did not you tell me anything?” And you say “I told you two months ago and you told me your head hurt” or “You said you came and you did not come” and they answered “Ah! It was for that! I thought it was something else”. And why did not you ask me, if you were not clear about it, instead of not showing up?

And although you still want to give the opportunity (although you would be in your right to send that person to hell, honestly) many times the opportunity is over. They hired someone else for that position, or the guy/girl you were going to introduce is already in a relationship, or the project started with other people. That’s when they get angry with you and the bad person is you.

Do you really want it? Learn from a Kung Fu teacher

There was a Kung Fu teacher in the village, and there was a young man who wanted to learn to practice this martial art, so he went to see him.

When he arrived in the presence of the teacher, he said, “Listen, teach me kung fu, I want to learn to do what you do with your arms and legs, teach me”. The Kung Fu teacher observed him and said “you do not want to learn kung fu, when you want to learn kung fu, come”. And closed the door.

The young man protested “How can I not? I want to learn, what are you saying, are you going to tell me what I want or what I do not want, who will know better than me” and he went away indignantly shouting expletives for all path.

The second visit

At the time it is seen that he thought about it and returned to see the master of Kung Fu, to see if this time he convinced him. “Hey, I want to learn Kung Fu, to see if you teach me now because the other day you did not feel like working, and you told me that I did not want to learn, very bad, very bad that of blaming the the rest”.

Then the teacher undeterred said “No no, you do not want to learn Kung Fu”, and began to close the door, but before it closed completely added “When you really want to learn Kung Fu, you tell me”. And he closed the door in his face again.

At that the young man got angry screaming “This guy is crazy, he thinks he knows everything, now apart from Kung Fu seems to read minds and everything, even knows Kung Fu or know nothing” And the same, screaming and throwing expletives all the way back to his house.

The third visit

But the young man either was very persistent or had a lot of free time, so he went back to visit the Kung Fu teacher again. And he said: “Hey, I want to learn Kung Fu, to see if it is clear at once, and to prove it to you I do not intend to move from here until you teach me Kung Fu. What do you think? If you do not know Kung Fu nothing happens, you tell me and that’s it ”

“Come,” the teacher said, and the unbelieving young man followed him. He was going to teach him Kung Fu? The Kung Fu teacher took him to a nearby river. The young man followed him to the same shore thinking “often the weirdest place has been searched for to teach Kung Fu”.

Suddenly, the teacher in a movement grabbed him by the neck and stuck his head in water. The young man was already thinking that the “crazy old man” was going to kill him. Perhaps he had gone on to say that he did not know Kung Fu. But, he no longer wanted Kung Fu or anything, just get out of there.

When he was about to drown, the teacher takes it out and says: “Do you realize how you wanted the air?” So when you want to learn Kung Fu as much as you wanted to have air, as you wanted to breathe, then you want to learn Kung Fu ”

How does this story affect you?

There are many people who say “I want to change”, “I want an opportunity”, “I want to improve this in my life” … but at the moment of truth, when you give them an opportunity, they do not take advantage of it, or leave it to the less hint of difficulty, or do not take it seriously, or have other priorities such as “having fun” or “going partying”. Everything is for them before they really change things. Maybe it’s because the change is beyond their comfort zone, maybe they’re afraid of losing their habits, or maybe it’s simply vagrancy or “laziness”.

And it is very important to realize this. Because sometimes we believe that we want things in our life that really do not interest us. And we spent some time in a loop where we did not advance. Would there be a reason to move forward? It is not enough to say “I want to change this”. Planning without action does not work.

You must cling to what you want as if it were the air you breathe, when you lack that air. That is called passion.

Habituation and Comfort: The story of the frog that was cooked alive

Many times we fall into the error of “accommodating ourselves” to what we know and we dare not go further. Do you know how the frog legs are prepared? They catch the live frogs, and put them in a pot with water. Then at low heat they begin to increase little by little the temperature until the frog is cooked. And it cooks alive!

Why the frog doesn’t jump out of the pot?

Many people wonder why the frog, when he sees that it is burning, does not jump out of the cauldron. The saddest thing of all is that it does not jump because it gets used to that progressive temperature.

If a frog suddenly fell into the boiling water, it would quickly jump out. That burns! By pure instinct would come out of there. But the frogs that are there from the beginning are comfortable and warm, they are with their little friends, and they do not react until it is too late.

There is no turning point when there is comfort

In that scenario there is never a point where the frog says “Hey, I have to change that situation”. Many times the same thing happens to people. We are in a situation and in that situation we are getting worse and worse, because we do not realize that we are there.

We say things like “we are going to give a little more”, “we are going to put up with a bit more”, “we are going to go a little further to see what happens”, “it is what it touches”. And we never break with that situation, but we’re still there until, as with the frog, it’s already too late.

Comfort, the danger of getting used to something

This phenomenon is also due to the fact that it is what one is used to. When you get used to something, it becomes comfortable. When you spend too much time in that cauldron of boiling water, and go out there, where “it’s cold”, it’s uncomfortable. We are warm inside the cauldron, where we are cooking without realizing it. “Sometimes the bad known is better than the good to know”

That comfort means that we do not try new things, that we do not assume risks. But many of those “risks” are only in our minds, and they are simply things we have not tried before. The unknown often scares us.

The fear of the unknown

When you have not tried anything before, you do not know if it can go wrong. That insecurity is an uncomfortable feeling. That’s when I think it would be interesting to think about what happens with these frogs, and how there are aspects in your life that may resemble this situation a bit. Do you want to be inside or outside the cauldron? Tic Tac Will there be frog legs on the menu today?

Many people say that they want to learn, that they want a change in their life, but it really is not like that. To improve you have to be willing to “pay the price”. Do not forget to want to sharpen the ax too.

Has something like this ever happened to you? Do you know people who do this? Tell me in the comments. I would also appreciate it if you share it on your social networks so that you can help more people. And if you like stories of improvement and how to take advantage of the opportunities I recommend a book entitled “Who has taken my cheese” by Spencer Johnson, you can get it in the following links along with the other recommended readings of this article:

It is often difficult to distinguish an investment from an expense. Didn’t happens to you, that you are facing an important outlay, and you don’t know if you should undertake it or not? In this article I tell you how to know it in a totally clear way.

What is the expense?

An expense will always take money out of our pocket never to return. That is why the expenses should be avoided at all costs, since it is the main way in which you lose money and you run out of cash. This is what is known as “consumer goods” or, for other authors, such as Robert Kiyosaki, simply “passive” (at the end of the post I leave some interesting links about this).

You will see it better with an example: An expense is something like buying a candy that we eat on the spot, after a while we do not have the money we have spent, nor the candy. But an expense is also a real estate property that does not produce rents, a car that we do not use to work, and spending is all that we could really be saving the money of its acquisition or maintenance.

Beware of “ant” expenses

Many people think that because they do not buy a super sports car, they are no longer making expenses. However, even though they have regular income, they are drowned by credit cards and have problems getting to the end of the month.

The usual suspect is usually the “ant expenses”: Small unnecessary things that we pay day after day without realizing it, and that if we observe them together it ends up being a lot of money. The solution for this is easy: keep a small accounting of the money you earn and how you use it. In this way, you can add up every X time how much you have spent going there, whims … etc.

If you want to take an extra step you can also do it, and that is to limit those ant expenses. There is no problem in that sometimes you spend some money on things that you like, leisure, luxuries … etc. The problem is when you see yourself drowned by debts, or lose investment opportunities (now we talk about what that is) for not having cash. On the other hand, if before spending you make a monthly budget in which X percentage of your income you have destined for ant expenses, and you do not get out of there … you will know how far you can spend that day you go “to drink something” or when you want to “go shopping”. You simply need to have a plan, and commitment to apply it.

What is an investment?

Investments, on the other hand, (also “capital goods” or “assets”) take us money out of pocket first but then make us earn even more money. If, for example, instead of eating the candy we re-sell it for more money than it cost us, we are making an investment in sweets. This is due to the fact that, with the investment, we end up with more money in our pocket than we initially had as a result of it.

But the same payment of money can be considered an investment or an expense at the same time. Everything depends on the approach we give

How to decide if something is an expense or an investment?

Some time ago I read “For the poor everything is spending, for the rich everything is investment”, I can not be more in disagreement with that phrase. Spending is spending rich or poor you are, and an investment too. In the same way that you do not have to be rich to invest, a good way to have money to invest is by using the pre-savings technique.

For example: Is buying your own home an expense or an investment?

Imagine that you decide to buy a house for € 100,000. The cost of it is a fixed parameter, but are those 100000 euros an expense or an investment? And this is important, because many people believe that living in a house of their own is an investment. However the house takes maintenance, costs (water, electricity, repairs …), it involves paying taxes on the patrimony … and it does not report liquidity, since even if you are going to sell it after many years of use it can be worth much less than what you paid for things like deterioration, inflation or the state of the real estate market. This is an expense And there are people who even ask for mortgages and get into debt for life for this!

However, if you “invest” € 100,000 in buying a house, which you then rent, and it gives you an income every month, you have invested in what is known as “real estate”, and in the long run you may earn more money that what you paid for the house, and all its expenses, taxes etc. That is an investment and, even asking for a mortgage, the house itself pays for itself. This is what is known as “amortize the investment”, and allows you to measure the “ROI” (Return Of Investment).

Summary and where to expand the information

The important thing then is to have enough financial intelligence, which is sometimes acquired by making wrong decisions, to distinguish one from the other. But above that is knowing the rules of investment and spending that I have introduced in this article.

Does that business guarantees of recovering the money you are putting in there? Do you recover it in a viable way for you? In how much time? Does it compensate you for the effort involved in getting the return on that investment? How much do you need the money you are going to risk? Is it worth that risk? … and so many other questions you must ask yourself.

If you are interested in these topics I recommend the book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki, where you can expand much more information and there are many examples of the difference between investment and spending.

Today I am going to talk to you about a fundamental tool to take more advantage of your money and have a reserve fund for any investment or any unforeseen event that may arise. It is the Pre-Savings tool

Why is the pre-savings important?

All this comes from a conversation a few days ago with some people about investment issues. Specifically, we were talking about taking part of the money you have and “putting” it in certain places that allow you to generate a higher return, such as a passive income.

Sometimes there are people who get what could be considered “enough money”, either through salary, rent (for example, real state) … etc and spend the entire money they get in the same month.  But they spend it on things that are not extremely necessary. They get money, they spend it … and end of the month arrives and they are like at the beginning, they have to change time for money (or generate it in some other way) to start over. It’s a bit like a wheel that has no end. Is it your case?

How the pre-savings works

There is a tool that will be very useful if you are of that type of people. If when you have money in your hand you have a thousand expenses to do, a thousand things to buy or a thousand places to go … read on, because this interests you. That tool I’m talking about is a mental trick known as “pre-savings”. It’s very simple, but you have to apply it before spending (not later!).

Because there are people who save what is left over, and if they don’t have nothing left, then they do not save anything. Instead the idea is that before spending money  you save a portentaje of what you earned and you keep it. Then you pretend that money does not exist, and in reality that money will be there, in the reserve.

How to start pre-saving

Maybe you can start pre-saving 10 euros in a month. 10 euros per month, in 10 months, are 100 euros. On the other hand 100 euros per month, in 10 months are 1000 euros. If you acquire the habit of pre-saving you will always have extra money for any investment you need to make. And although this month you start pre-saving 10 euros, the next month can be 20. This is because you end up getting used to only spend what you have left after pre-saving.

This is because you end up getting used to your spending is what you have left after pre-saving.

As I told you at the beginning, there are people (maybe is your case) that when they earn 1000 euros, they spend 1000 euros. What happens? That these people, when an unforeseen expense arrives, go bankrupt. All its economy and its expense are based on “it enters something, they spends that something”. If you get used to spend less, there will always be a reservation. And from that reserve we can talk about investments, a fund for a hurry … and anything where you need “extra money”. And without needing to look for how to earn more money!

If you want to go deeper into these topics, I recommend a book called “The Richest Man in Babylon” by George S. Clason, a literary gem that is very enjoyable to read, where the author teaches to have more money without having to earn more, pay debts and invest with conscience.
